Why we install it before shipping
Installing the battery before your order ships lets us test the remote's electronics and button functions properly, so what arrives at your door has already been verified to work.
What "ready to be programmed" means
A pre-installed battery means there's nothing extra to buy or install before you get started. Depending on your vehicle, you'll still need to program the remote to your vehicle's security system, and cut the emergency insert key if your model includes one, before it's ready to actually use.
