Yes! If your remote still works but the outer shell is worn, cracked, or damaged, you may only need a shell instead of a whole new remote. Simply transfer the internal electronics from your existing key into the new shell. Just make sure you choose a shell that matches your original key. Please note, this does not apply to every remote.
When a new shell is the right call
If your lock and unlock buttons still work, the remote communicates with your vehicle normally, and the damage is limited to the plastic housing or worn buttons, a shell swap is often the most cost effective fix, no need to replace parts that are working fine.
What's typically included
A shell usually includes the outer housing and buttons, and depending on the style, a key blade as well.
